Sooner or later, and better sooner than later if you want to make any kind of real income online, you will need to get your own website(s) and hosting for them, an autoresponder, tracking and split testing tools and, of course, you can always benefit from good training programs. Other useful services (and usually free ones for the beginning levels) include downline builders, banner and splash page makers, resell rights sources, giveaways and webinars.
When you’re just starting out, you may be a bit intimidated by the technical tasks involved in getting your online presence going. Blogs, emails, autoresponders, social media, RSS feeds, domains, hosting and more. Just the names are scary enough.
The good news is that you can slide by on some of that until you’ve got a little more experience under your belt. There are some things you can’t do without though … at least if you’re planning on earning any money online.
A Blogger blog can work as your domain and host at the start. It’s free and pretty easy to keep up once you got it going. You will also need an eMail for business purposes. GMail is also free and works well for that.
The third thing you really need to have is an autoresponder, a service for mailing to your customer and potential customer lists. There’s a good one that has a free first month trial, but it will cost you $17.95 a month after that.
Then there are the social sites and services. Twitter, Facebook and IM Faceplate for marketers. All free to join, but all needing setup. That’s where I come in.
Starting under $5 for individual services, I can get these services setup for you and working together so you’ve got your online base to start your business from. When you’re ready to move up and get your very own domain name and site I can help you with that too.
I also have two bundles.
One for the beginner, which includes setup of your GMail address, Blogger Blog, RSS feed for the blog and a subscription form for your autoresponder. Separately it’s almost $30, but in the bundle for only $19.97. I’ll even throw in some eBooks on how to use them,
When you’re ready to get more professional, you’ll want your own domain and hosting account, usually with WordPress on it. WordPress isn’t just for blogging any more either. With the right plugins you can make it do just about whatever you want.
This bundle includes getting your domain, setting up your hosting and pointing your domain to it, setting up a domain specific eMail address, getting WordPress up and running using a much more secure manual installation than the free Fantastico setup gives and your autoresponder with custom form. Separately, this is almost $50, but bundled for only $29.95. eBooks and training videos are included.
You can eMail me at Diane@DianeMerriam.com (or use the form at the bottom right of this page) or Skype me at Diane.Merriam (afternoons and evenings est)
Full Disclosure: If you join or buy anything through any of the links on the site, I might make some money. Seems obvious to me, but to do a CYA under the new Federal Trade Commission rules, I have to be explicit.
